How founder introductions are handled.
Base One is an investment practice led by Sun Lin and supported by a team. There is no pooled investment fund. This notice explains what happens when you submit an introduction or privacy request here.
What is collected
The founder form asks for your name, email, company, location, product link, business summary and customer evidence. You may also provide the amount you are raising, a deck link or a PDF/PPTX deck. The privacy-request form collects the details needed to respond to your request. Please do not send personal customer records, passwords, sensitive source code or information you are not entitled to share.
Why it is used
Submissions are used to assess whether to discuss a possible investment, contact you about your company, and keep a record of that consideration. A privacy request is used to respond to the request. Sending material does not create a funding commitment or a confidential relationship. It is not collected for Sun’s UCL research project.
Storage and access
The public site is hosted by Vercel. Introductions and files are sent to Base One’s existing OpenAI Sites submission service and stored in its private database and document storage. For founder introductions, Resend emails the submitted contact and pitch details to Sun at his designated inbox; uploaded pitch files are not attached to these emails. Pitch files are not publicly accessible; access to the review area is restricted to Sun’s signed-in owner account. Materials are not sold or posted publicly. Details may be shared with team members or professional advisers only when needed for a potential investment and after an appropriate discussion with you.
How long information stays
Submissions are kept while they are relevant to evaluating a potential investment or maintaining a record of our communications. You may request access or deletion using the form below. A request may be limited where a legal obligation requires retaining a record. Because the service may operate across borders, do not submit material if you are uncomfortable with it being handled by a cloud provider outside your country.
Your choices
You can request a copy, correction or deletion of personal information you supplied. Please use the same email address you used for the original submission so the request can be checked. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or deleting information. This notice may be updated as the investment practice and website develop.
